How to Start a YouTube Channel

Given that’s just turned New Year with resolutions rifle and promises of ‘must do X this year’ in mind, Lily Pebbles and I hatched a plan. A ‘Guide to Blogging and Vlogging’ series, tailored to those of you with plans to start a Blog or YouTube channel in 2014 with some more advanced tips thrown in there that may come in handy for those who’ve already begun. Here’s the deal. Six videos in total, three on each of our channels covering three topics: how to start, equipment and general tips and tricks and a video focusing on blogging and vlogging for each. Simples. So today we’re kicking things off on VDM with the basics of YouTube. We discuss topics to ponder before you start, how to set-up your channel and the wonderfully hilarious phenomenon of YouTube-picked thumbnails. For the same deats on blogging check out our video on Lily’s channel. Let the ‘Guide to Blogging and Vlogging’ commence – next stop tech-tips, cameras and our filming set-ups that used to include cereal boxes. Coming Sunday.
